About Us:
This is Bob and Midge from "A Wishing Star" Productions.
At this time we would like to give you a little idea as to how our Production company came to be:
It all started in 1991, when we went on vacation back to South Dakota to see Bob's family. His brother-in-law took us to a Karoake show at the Holiday Inn. Neither one of us had seen this before. Bob became very enthused about Karaoke, and all the way home that was all he could talk about.
When we got home Bob talked to a friend that was staying with us at the time (also named Bob) and the two of them got busy and investigated as to how we could get into the business. Boy! You should have seen our first equipment! It was nothing like what we have today. It consisted of the large laser discs, the player and heavy equipment to lug around! Since then we have completely changed our library of music and sound equipment. We now have state-of-the-art sound and 75,000 + songs in our digital karaoke database library. We also have over 30,000 + songs for our DJ music shows. We are still capable of playing your personal discs at any of our shows! All of our shows have the same music and songs! We can mix karaoke and dance music to meet your needs!
Our first show was in Benicia, Ca. in a little tavern called "This Bar". From there we went to several other places in Benicia, Antioch, Clayton, Yountville, Napa (in the beautiful Napa Valley, Ca.), to name a few. Since we started the Karaoke business, we have expanded to doing DJ'ing at parties, weddings, etc. using the new MP3 format which means cyrstal clear music and no more skipping or bad discs! This also means we are capable of carrying thousands of songs with us to shows! (Click on our Song List to see our library!) In the past 12 years we have been doing shows for St. Patrick's High School in Vallejo, Ca. for their "lock-down" Graduation Nights with great success! What can we say? They keep calling us back!!
